Rossette welds

I just heard of rossette welds today, for the first time. But cannot find anything on Wikipedia about these.

Found this on google search. Rossette welds seem to be a thing.

If someone who knows about welding agrees, maybe we could/should have a REDIRECT at Rossette weld (currently a red link) to some paragraph on Wikipedia where they are described. Cheers. N2e (talk) 23:33, 16 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This is basically just welding a tube inside of another tube. It's not like it's some different kind of welding; it can be done with MIG, TIG, stick, gas, etc... It's simply called that because the finished weld resembles a flower. I don't think we need to include every type of weld joint, because this is a general article on the subject and not an instruction manual. High quality images candidates ?

What you guys think about this images ? Is it the welding method shown in the pics are mentioned in Wiki articles ? I asked because the welding methods could use other types of images

These look like decent images, but it's nothing that the article doesn't already show. Basically just images of a puddle-pusher pushing a puddle. Articles should not become repositories for random images, but rather images should show something significant and be relevant to the adjacent text. Sometimes that takes a little imagination when photographing. (What I usually do is read the text and think, how can I show this?) For example, what we could use is a close-up photo of the actual puddle taken through a welding lens. Or perhaps a photo of friction stir welding, or forge welding. Definition?

I came here because I ran across a reference to "puddle welding" in a historical video, but while the article references "puddle" several times, it's not at all clear what that means in this context. Can someone more knowledgeable than I (which, let's face it, is almost everyone) add a description / explanation?

The term "puddle" is sometimes used to refer to the pool of molten metal, but a reference to "puddle welding" likely means spot welding (plug welding). This is typically a resistance weld with two electrodes clamping the material together. One layer melts completely under one of the electrodes and bonds to the other layer.
